The Social Service Sector offers a variety of scholarship for undergraduates, mid-career
entrants and personnel in the sector. These include:
Social Work Associate Training Sponsorship – New!
MCYS, together with NCSS, introduced training sponsorship for students in the Diploma in Social Sciences (Social Work) course to provide opportunity for young talents to join the social service sector as Social Work Associates and to provide professional services to people in need in the community.

VWOs - Charities Capability Fund Scholarship
The VWOs – Charities Capability Fund (VCF) was first launched in July 2002
by the MCYS. The funding
for scholarship supports both graduate and postgraduate studies in the areas of
social work, counselling, psychology, therapy and special education that are provided locally and overseas

Social Work Training Scholarship
MCYS, together with NCSS, introduced this scholarship for the study of social work. The funding supports the undergraduates who have declared social work as their major subject at the National University of Singapore.

Scholar Management Programme
All NCSS scholars benefit from a Scholar Management Programme. Scholars are kept engaged and connected through the Scholar Management Programme with mentoring, networking, visits to VWOs and job postings. These provide opportunities for scholars to be kept abreast with the on-goings of the social service sector through the various platforms.
Lien Foundation Scholarship for Social Service Leaders
The Lien Foundation since 2002,has partnered NCSS to provide scholarships to those who wish to develop a career in the social services. The Foundation has committed $1.2 million over the next four years for both graduate and postgraduate studies in management and specialist fields.
APB Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities
The APB Foundation Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities is a multi-disciplinary scholarship that allows the pursuit of undergraduate studies in a Singapore University.
