Social Service Assistants work hand-in-hand with the Social Service Professionals in taking care of those in need in the community. They organise and facilitate meaningful activities for clients and carry out care procedures such as therapy exercises, nutritional care, escort, errand services, and housekeeping tasks. They are mainly employed in Homes for the Aged, Day Care Centres for the Elderly, Nursing Homes, Welfare Homes, Children’s Homes, and Community Hospitals.
