Nominees must have demonstrated significant and sustained involvement in the social service sector for at least a minimum of three years immediately preceding the nomination.
(Past PSSA winners would not be eligible for further awards for the next 3 years after their award. For example, a winner from 2005 or earlier will only be eligible from 2009).
The requirements for the four categories are:
Individual
Any individual residing in Singapore.
Informal Group
Any non-registered or ad-hoc group (e.g. student groups, volunteer groups).
Formal Group / Nonprofit or Public Sector Organisation
Any registered group under written law (e.g. associations, societies) & Ministries, Statutory Boards and other government-related organisations. The contributions must be voluntary, i.e. exclude non-profit organisations with paid professional service providers.
Corporation
Any Singapore-based private sector organisation.
