Information for Training Providers

Applying for Training Course to be Pre-Approved for VCF Local Training Grant

The VWOs-Charities Capability Fund (VCF) Training Grant provides co-funding for local training programmes, which include training courses, conferences, workshops and seminars. Training providers may apply for training courses to be pre-approved for the Grant.

Please refer to the funding level and fund reimbursement procedure.

Eligibility Criteria

All training providers whose training courses are relevant to the social service sector can apply. The course must not be receiving other sources of government funding.

Application Procedures

	Applications are accepted throughout the year.
	Applications will be assessed by the VCF Evaluation Panel and must be submitted to the VCF Secretariat at least 7 weeks before the VCF Evaluation Panel meets. Please refer to the VCF Evaluation Panel's meeting dates and submission deadlines. The decision of the VCF Evaluation Panel is final.
	Applications must reach the VCF Secretariat at least 3 months before the course commences.
	Training Providers are expected to demonstrate prudence and transparency in the cost computations of the courses submitted for pre-approval.
	The VCF Secretariat will inform applicants on the outcome of their applications.

Note:

VCF pre-approval of courses is granted based on the information provided in the application.

Should there be any changes in the course information within the pre-approval period, eg. (course title, venue, course fee, trainer(s), course content or class size), the training provider must submit the information to the VCF Secretariat in writing, before the first run of the course, for the VCF Evaluation Panel’s decision on pre-approval of the course based on the revised course information.

Pre-approval status may be suspended pending the outcome of the revision.

Training providers must submit reimbursement claims for VCF Local Training Grant to the VCF Secretariat within 2 months after the end of the course. With effect from 1 Nov 2010, claims submitted to VCF Secretariat after the 2 months deadline will not be reimbursed.
