MCYS Recurrent and Capital Fund

MCYS funds the facilities and operations of community-based services for the elderly, people with disabilities and families in need. The capital funding covers expenditure for the facilities, including construction, renovation, purchase of furniture and equipment as well as cyclical maintenance costs. The recurrent funding covers the operating costs to deliver the services to the target clients. Examples of programmes funded by MCYS include Family Service Centres, Seniors Activity Centres, Homes, Hostels, Day Activity Centres and Sheltered Workshops.

NCSS was appointed by MCYS to administer the MCYS Recurrent and Capital Funds since FY2007.

MCYS's funding is not open for application by VWOs. The Ministry will approve funding for VWOs appointed to deliver the programme(s).
