Tote Board Social Service Fund
The Tote Board has appointed NCSS to administer the Tote Board Social Service Fund (TBSSF) since 2006.
The Tote Board has renewed its funding for the TBSSF for the next three years from FY10 to FY12.
The TBSSF provides grants for critical and strategic social service programmes, new programmes, capability enhancement and capital funding for the social service sector. It aims to alleviate the fund-raising concerns of VWOs and enable them to focus on service delivery, service standards, and the outcomes for the clients served.

TBSSF will only support applications with a minimum funding request of $2,000.
Application Procedure
Applications for funding of capital projects must be submitted to NCSS at least three months prior to the implementation or commencement of the projects. VWOs can apply for in-principle approval with capital project costs estimates if the confirmed costs could not be ascertained by the three-month in advance submission deadline.

VWOs that are NCSS members are able to enjoy the following benefits:
- Application for Funding for Social Service Programmes
- Application for Funding for Social Service Programmes funded by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS)
- Application for Capability Enhancement Projects (i.e. consultancy/research projects) (Please refer to the sections on VCF Consultancy Grant and the VCF Social Service Research Grant. The same application form can be submitted for funding under TBSSF.)
- Application for Capital Funding
